The “Gender and Politics” Research Group, coordinated by professor Emanuela Lombardo, carries out research, teaching, and co-creation of knowledge in political science through gender-sensitive and intersectional lenses. It examines political dynamics and decision-making processes, highlighting how gender and intersecting forms of inequality shape participation, representation, and power relations.
In particular, the group focuses on issues related to politics, public policy, and institutions, with a specific emphasis on advancing gender equality and democracy. By producing and sharing knowledge beyond academia, it contributes to public debate and supports the development of evidence-informed strategies and policies aimed at greater equity and democracy.
